When Fire Strikes...
Although recovering from a fire is very difficult, our experienced personnel can make it easier. As you choose a contractor, consider that a typical general contractor and general contractor specializing in insurance restoration offer very different skill sets. Although a typical contractor may be able to do much of the work, they may not be familiar with the tricks associated with repairing fire damage such as smoke mitigation, properly preparing a scope of work in a format that is acceptable to your insurer, and how to work with your insurer to avoid road blocks that could slow down your recovery. The sooner we start, the more we can work with your insurer to reach a reasonable scope of work, and speed your recovery.
Did water damage your house?
Beware… You may only be seeing part of the picture. At CIMA, we have specialized tools and trained staff to determine the extent of water damage. Be careful when selecting a contractor that they have the tools to assess your damage, and the experience to fix it right. In addition to our experience working with insurers on the scope of repairs, we have experience removing water-damaged materials, and our staff has worked with industrial hygienists to diagnose and remediate mold and other water-damaged materials.
